How to make money writing articles: Creating a authority site

I already wrote the basics on how to make money writing online and now I will go to the next step on how to make money writing article by creating an authority website. An authority website is a very large website with hundreds of informative content. Instead of attacking a niche with only a few articles, now you will try to create authority with your main domain name and in that way let your articles rank more easily.

An authority site is totally different than when you are making a niche website. A niche will attack a certain keyword and consists of a few articles but never more than 10 or 20. An authority site however consists of at least 100 articles and preferably even more. By creating mass quality content your website will be trusted in the eyes of Google and let you rank for more keywords. So how can you make your own authority website?

You start out by doing research to keyword selection. Read more at my article about how to get top listings on google how this basically works. You will need to find hundreds or maybe thousands of keywords with low competition. After you have found a lot of green keywords (keywords with no competition), it is time to divide them in groups and form an umbrella. It is best to select a certain large niche and make categories in advance. For instance: If your website will be about widgets than you can make categories like: red widgets, green widgets, blue widgets. You can place the articles in the correct category and your article will be something like ‘How to paint red widgets’. What I am trying to say is that your main websites needs to be an umbrella for all related articles. You do not want to have a website about loans and write about making money online. Try to select one niche and find related keywords to that niche.

There are different options in selecting your keywords. You could go for the keywords that will make the most money. This is a very popular method but when you have a new website it will be very hard to even rank for keywords with low competition. What you will need is keywords with no competition at all. Write about things that are searched for 150 times a month and have no competing websites. In this way you will attract some visitors and build up a little authority. Later on when you have created more authority you will be able to rank for keywords with more competition. Off course you will also need to create many back links for the authority. On this website I will write a lot about how you can make money online with writing articles as I believe this is the best way to make money. In this article I will give a short review on how to make money writing online. I will try to explain what you have to do to get the best out of your articles.

First let me explain what the difference is between someone who likes to write and an Internet marketeer. When you like to write articles you like to write about subjects that have a certain interest to you. When you are an Internet Marketeer you will not write articles about topics that interest you, you will write about articles that will make money for you. You will end up writing about 800cc Breast Augmentation, credit card loans, etc, etc. What I am trying to tell here that it is very important what you are writing about. Certain topics will make you a lot of money and other topics will only make you nickles so choosing the wright niches is a crucial step in making money.

Choosing the subject is not the only important thing, it is also a matter of how you write. You don’t have to be a very good writer but you do have to keep in mind some relevant things that will improve SEO. A very important thing is the title of your article. The title needs to be attractive for people so they want to read it, but you also want to place the exact keyword in your title. The title of your article is probably the second most important aspect of article writing.

Another very important factor about article writing is keyword selection and using it. I already explained that keyword selection is the most important factor how to make money online. But when you are writing the article, your have to use the same keyword in the text to make it more relevant. If your title is about red elephants and you are writing about turtles that is not a good way to optimize your article and Google will know. So if you are writing about red elephants you have to use that keyword a few times in the text you are writing. However, do not overdo it. When you use your keyword too many times in your text we are speaking of keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing is an important cause that many articles will not rank high in the SERP’s.

Just remember that Google sees and knows everything. Don’t try to fool them by writing shitty content or use too much keywords. Always try to write quality content that will give people the information they are looking for. In this article I have tried to explain how to make money writing online. If you want to succeed as an Internet Market you have to aim your arrows at multiple markets. You don’t want all your income to be dependent of one single income source. Making money writing articles is one way how you can make money online. In other posts I already have told about Squidoo, Hubpages and Infobarrel. These websites are perfect to practice your writing skills. But how can you make money writing articles?

Adsense sharing programs have become very popular the last few years and it will not surprise me if in a few years there are more websites like the big three I mentioned. But how does this sharing program work? This is a little different for all three sites, hubpages and infobarrel use the same system and squidoo uses a different system. The first 2 let you earn money by placing your adsense advertisements on a certain page impressions. If you receive 10 visitors on your article, than at hubpages 6 visitors will see your advertisements and 4 will not, 60%/40%. With Infobarrel this is a little bit higher, 70% of the visitors will see your ads.

Squidoo uses a totally different sharing program. They will not give you a certain amount of impression with your adsense code in place, instead they use their own adsense codes and divide a certain amount of the profit. So in short, instead of getting money for every click you will get money for every visitor.

The first question on this would probably be, Why would you write articles for them and only get 60% or 70% of the money you could earn? The simple answer to this questions is ‘Site Authority’. The websites you post your articles on are trusted websites in the eyes of Google. Because of this they will get some kind of bonus for all new content that is made. The effect is that you will need less backlinks to get the same effect. If you have yourself a fine Pagerank 4 or 5 website, than don’t write articles for hubpages but post them on your own site.

So how much back link effort should you do for these articles? The idea behind this is to make some quick money without too much effort. If you are planning to make many back links, than you could better invest that in your own niche site. However, with 4 or 5 strong links your articles could be on page 1 of Google if you did your research wright.

As a beginning entrepreneur I am constantly thinking how to make extra money online. I have read threw many blogs where people are making money like water and everything they do works out. People will try to copy there ideas but notice that it will not work out for them. Eventually they stop trying to make money on the Internet and give up there dreams on Internet Marketing. Eventually almost 90% will stop trying to make money on the net because they don’t get instant results. let me state clearly that making money online is definitely not a short term investment. It requires very hard work and much of your work will not get you even one dollar. But eventually this trial and error method will help you find out what will stick around and makes you money. I don’t mean a couple of bucks with Paid to click programs but I mean some serious money which will make you a living.

In my opinion writing is the best way how to make extra money online. You don’t have to be an expert writer because the content is not as much important as choosing what you are going to write about. Keyword selection is the key for successful writing and the best way to get some easy visitors to your website. Face it, you could have the best looking website on the web or be the best writer in the world, if no one will be able to read it this will not make you any money. Making money on the Internet with article writing is not wring about subject you know of. Sure, you could write about how you had a great weekend or how much you like walking on the beach or how sailing relax you so much, this will not give any money in your pockets. So how can you make money online with writing? Although I am no expert yet, I have learned a lot at the Keyword Academy. These guys will learn you to make money online doing research at what the best keyword is. Eventually you will not first come up with a subject and find the best keyword, you will find a keyword and write about stuff you know nothing about. Everybody can become an expert on a subject by reading some some related articles. If you are serious in making money online, trying out the keyword academy crash-course is something to think about as it will only cost you $1 to try them out.

This course will help you aiming better at keyword selection but don’t expect to make money with it instantly. As most professional Entrepreneurs will state, making money online is a long-term investment. You may write an article today and maybe it will make you money in a month, a year or maybe 2 years. The key to success is not to make only one website and wait until it will make you money. You should diversify and try out many different kinds of websites and see what will work or not. Maybe in a couple of years you become an expert and you will see that most of what you do will make you money. As stated in the beginning of this article, sadly 90% of the people trying to make money on the Internet are not that patiently. If they don’t make money within 2 or 3 months they decide that it properly will not work out. To be honest, good riddance. If everybody would just try out forever, there would be a lot more of competition in making money on the Internet.

So how to make extra money online with writing? How can this writing make you some extra money? There are different ways to monetize some good article writing. Actually, there are no borders on how you can monetize good writing. It is very popular to make money with Adsense on your website. Just placing Adsense is not enough to make money with.You should choose keywords where people want to click at to buy or read something. Adsense can be a real moneymaker but it requires some experience to optimize it.

Another way to monetize your website is by selling products. This could be your own products but also affiliate products. The key of success here also lays in keyword selection. Choose them carefully and you will get some really good results. Choose them randomly and you will most of the time making nothing at all. I will not tell you what is the best method to use making some money on the Internet, but you shouldn’t overdue it. If you will monetize your website with too many options,people can’t make a decision and will probably leave your website. So be carefull what you choose. If you want Adsense on your website, don’t stuff it with affiliate products or products you want to sell for your self. This is also the case the other way around. If you want to sell products on your website you should not use Adsense. You don’t want to lead your potential buyers to the competition and let them buy there products there.

The last option I will write about on how to make extra money online is text ads. This is something not many people have heard off but it works quite well. Some programs that use text advertising are Chitika or Kontera. To summarize: they will advertise via words you have written down and make a hyperlink of it. These programs pay less than Adsense but could be a nice addition to make some extra money online. The best way is to keep experimenting for yourself to see what will work. Just keep on trying and don’t give up if it will not work in the first few months. Eventually something you made will work and than all you have to do is copy that way for another keyword.
